Benchmark: timing 100000 iterations of printf, sprintf...
printf: 1 wallclock secs ( 0.55 usr + 0.00 sys = 0.55 CPU)
sprintf: 0 wallclock secs ( 0.11 usr + 0.00 sys = 0.11 CPU)
so having sprintf in a loop seems more rational than a printf for the line ...
