I re-worked last commit (check_snmp fix) as I realized I didn't need to
use the double-conversion; merely taking the pointer diff for string
length is enough to get only the strtod-parseable portion of the string.
This patch is done against the previous commit (08d8d119) so you can
easily compare it with with the last commit in Git. The
double-conversion gives more predictable results while copying the value
(this patch) ensure backwards-compatibility of anything using perfdata.
