hi,all,

I need your help . I have setup NAGIOs 1.0.
There are 2 problems :

1. when I start NAGIOS, it complains that it hasn't got a lock file
(nagios.lock) in the /var directory.
I can't seem to fix this even after I changed all the CGI scripts to modes
of 777.

2. after setting "use_authentication=1" in the CGI configuration file
(cgi.cfg) , I get this error message ,

"It appears as though you do not have permission to view information
for any of the hosts you requested...
If you believe this is an error, check the HTTP server authentication
requirements for accessing this CGI
and check the authorization options in your CGI configuration file."

I am tryign to enable the CGI authentication functionality so that my
users
can acknowledge calls . Please comment .

Regards,
 Kin Meng.
