I had a similar problem and solved it with ./configure
--with-ping-command=/bin/ping -n %s -c %d .

I'm trying to compile the nagios plugins(nagiosplug-1.3-beta1).

It starts off fine until it gets to this point, then it just hangs there

(during ./configure). I can run ping manually with no problem. I'm using

Mandrake 8.2.

Any Idea's ?
