Thanks. With 200211201133-snapshot, I get;

 ./plugins/check_dig -H ns1.tufts.edu -l edu -v
/usr/local/bin/dig @ns1.tufts.edu edu
DNS problem - 

An improvement, but not the same as the linux result. The version of
check_dig in the newer snapshot is 1.6.
