The contrib directory is not built aitomatically. The nagios plugin
developers generally make no specific comment on the quality of a plugin
in contrib. The gaol of contrib is to distribute these plugins as
quickly as we can.
Operationally, if a plugin is not integreated with the standard build,
it is in contrib. From there, we try to move it into the standards build
by sharing code whereever we can, making sure we use the standard build
options, and making sure that the new plugin can't easily be
accomplished trivially with another plugin.
But two comments above may be readily refuted:
1) check_dhcp could be more solid than a number of core plugins. It's
just not integrated yet.
2) check_dhcp will not build with the normal make, because it is not yet
integrated.
