Can you run the program with the verbose option (-v)
My results: (RH 7.2)
[sghosh at calcutta plugins-scripts]$ ./check_rpc -H localhost -C nfs -p
2049 -c2,3
OK: RPC program nfs version 2 version 3 udp running
