[Nagiosplug-help] Socket timeout

Hello,

I'm facing Plug-in & NRPE timeout problems, raising to
false alerts. Below are the error messages:

Remote NRPE Service:
CRITICAL;SOFT;1;CHECK_NRPE: Socket timeout after 15
seconds

Normal plug-in (check_tcp -H <HOST> -p 23 -t 15)
telnet_service;CRITICAL;HARD;1;Socket timeout after 15
seconds

The problem is intermittent. Within 2 or 3 minutes,
the service (both check_nrpe and plugin) work fine
with desired results. But by then a false Critical
alert is generated. 

Earlier the default timeout was 10 seconds. I
increased it to 15 seconds but problem exists. My
Service and Host check timeouts are:
service_check_timeout=60
host_check_timeout=30

Can you please help me on this problem.
