After adding the check_nt_disk command and restarted Nagios I tried to add the following to my hosts.cfg and Nagios complains .. any advice?
define host{
use generic-host ; Name of host template to use
host_name xxxxx
alias Windows 2000 Server #
address x.x.x.x
check_command check_nt_disk
max_check_attempts 10
notification_interval 120
notification_period 24x7
notification_options d,u,r
}

Tim,
This is what I have for all my other nsclient checks, but for 'COUNTER' it doesnt seem to be too happy ! I have spent all day on it now and for the number of counter checks we are likely to do, I am just going to define explicit commands for each check.
Thank you though !
Matthew

checkcommands.cfg in the following format:
define command {
command_name check_nt_disk
command_line $USER1$/check_nt -H $HOSTADDRESS$ -p 1248 -v USED
DISKSPACE -l $ARG1$ -w $ARG2$ -c $ARG3$
}
You need one command defined for each type of check you want to do.
