Matt,
Which version of check_procs are you using? I think there have been changes
to the FreeBSD ps command used precisely because of this problem. I'd
suggest trying either the r1_3_0 snapshot or the HEAD snapshot at
http://nagiosplug.sf.net/snapshot. Please run with -v -v -v to list verbose
information.
