[Nagiosplug-help] compiling pgsql and radius plugins

still having no luck compiling the pgsql plugins - i tried downloading 
the source for postgresql and untarring it and compiling it in my home 
dir

then i use from the nagios-plugins directory

./configure --with-pgsql=/home/sysadmin/postgresql-7.3.3/src

the output from configure shows

configure: warning: Skipping PostgreSQL plugin (check_pgsql)
configure: warning: LIBS=-lcrypt -lutil CPPFLAGS= 
-I/home/sysadmin/postgresql-7.3.3/src/include
configure: warning: install PostgreSQL libs to compile this plugin (see 
REQUIREMENTS).

since its putting include onto the end of the path that i gave it, it 
seems to me it should be getting everything it needs since all the 
include files are there

Would love to get some feedback on this
