I did the windows thing. Only to find I had not installed nagio according 
to rpm dus to some odd errors. (I fear the %{cmdgrp} was part of the 
problem.)

So I rebuilded the packages on my development machine and cleared out the 
lot. (Just kept a backup of the config files somewhere.) After installing 
the new packages with some force (--allmatches) I got it up and running 
again.
