[Nagiosplug-help] Can't compile plugins from CVS. Maybe related to MySQL4?

Hello ML,
I cannot compile the plugins from the CVS. Nagios itself did compile
cleanly.
The error appears at this point:

I'm using Gentoo Linux with mysql 4.0.13. FYI the nagios-1.1 ebuild
(for those who don't know gentoo, it's a kind of "package") is
working.

Has someone alread experienced this problem?
