[Nagiosplug-help] check_ping - Error: Could not interpret output from ping command

Hi,
I recently installed nagios 1.2 with RedHat 7.3 but I have a problem with
the check_ping plugin when its running from comand line and the service
checked in nagios dont look ok (unknown)...
[prompt]# ./check_ping -H 172.16.1.139 -w 300.0,20% -c 500.0,30% -p 1
/bin/ping -n -U -c 1 172.16.1.139
Error: Could not interpret output from ping command
but when i execute ping from command line there is not problem
[prompt]# /bin/ping -n -U -c 1 172.16.1.139
PING 172.16.1.139 (172.16.1.139) from 172.16.1.13 : 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from 172.16.1.139: icmp_seq=1 ttl=255 time=1.51 ms
--- 172.16.1.139 ping statistics ---
1 packets transmitted, 1 received, 0% loss, time 0ms
rtt min/avg/max/mdev = 1.517/1.517/1.517/0.000 ms
I could see in a past post no one respond a similar question ...

this is the version of check_ping
[prompt]# ./check_ping -V
