[Nagiosplug-help] using check_flexlm

i want to use the check_flexlm command for license managers but it is not 
working.
normally using lmstat command i can find out the staistics about a license 
by using the following:

lmstat port no at server 

how can i implement it in nagios because in nagios it asks for the path to 
the file i.e. license.dat and does not use this.

can someone please explain about how to use it and how to write the 
command in the checkcommands.cfg file to use with nagios.
