Hi, Jesus:

There is a patch, SunSolve patch #112438-02, which you must install in 
order for nrpe to work correctly under Solaris 8. This patch fixes 
problems with /dev/random (et al), which is necessary for SSL. You can 
get the patch from <http://sunsolve.sun.com/>.

Be sure to install this on your Solaris 8 client. Your Solaris 9 server 
doesn't need it.
