[Nagiosplug-help] check_tcp syntax

BTW, I noticed a number of K8000 software processes running after my testing
which leads me to believe that the issue may be with the 'Q' end session
command, ie the sessions are not closing. I have tried the command with
extra newlines but no go..

I suggest that you include the version of the plugin that you are using.
