We are also using NRPE_NT (http://sourceforge.net/projects/nrpent/). The
current 0.8b version (updated February 2006) has worked well on both Win2k
and 2003 platforms. I don't think the included process check will solve the
issue you describe but you may find an add-on plugin on the NagiosExchange
site that will do what you want.
