[Nagiosplug-help] Nrpe error checking windows services

Hi,
When checking the status of specific windows services using nrpe the
Status reports as 'Unknown' and the Status Information reports 'Error!
Invalid Name, State property.'    The check had been running
successfully for several weeks now as well as other nrpe checks on this
server.  This problem just started within the past 24 hours.  This is
the only check having this problem.  Have any of you experienced this
same situation?  I am new to Nagios and am not a windows admin so I
apologize in advance if I have not used the proper terminology.
