[Nagiosplug-help] Service Name

Hi All
 
I'm very new to using Nagios and I'm having a problem which I'm hoping
someone can help me with.
 
I want to check the status of a Windows service which has a $ sign in its
name I.e. SQLAgent$VECTORDEV, but when I enter the name Nagios appears to
stripe of the bit after the $ sign.
 
I've tried preceding the $ sign with a \ sign and enclosing the name between
' (single quote) but that doesn't appear to work.
 
Any help greatly appreciated.
