Or the other thing you do is compile them right on the RHEL 5 box which
is what I've taken to do because I've had issues on and off using Fedora
RPM's.
I have a number of RHEL 5 boxes and I install nrpe-2.8.1.tgz and
nagios-plugins-1.4.9 on all of them. As a prereq on the RHEL boxes you
ned to do a
yum install gcc openssl-devel xinetd
on them first then its quick and painless to compile the plugins and
nrpe following the instructions in the gzip files.
