Hi,
First of all I would like to mention that I am not very technical and
still struggling with Nagios,
I have configured Nagios for my Lab successfully.
I also configured check_oracle for a linux server where I am checking it
for two instances and it is working properly.
But I tried to configure the same check for a solaris server and it is
giving me an error message. I am tired of trying to make it work. I need
help in it.
The nrpe.cfg file on my linux server has following code-
command[check_oracle1]=ORACLE_HOME=/export/home1/ora920;export
ORACLE_HOME;/usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_oracle1 --db LDDB3
command[check_oracle2]=ORACLE_HOME=/export/home1/ora920;export
ORACLE_HOME;/usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_oracle2 --db SUPE9IR2
and this is working perfectly.
The nrpe.cfg file on my solaris server has following code-
command[check_oraclee]=ORACLE_HOME=/ora1/product/10g;export
ORACLE_HOME;/usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_oraclee --db BG10G1
command[check_oracle]=ORACLE_HOME=/ora1/product/10g;export
ORACLE_HOME;/usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_oracle --db BG10G2
for second ins5tance its working right.
But for first instance its giving me the error message "command
check_oraclee not defined"
Although I have copied check_oracle to check_oraclee in libexec folder
of solaris server, just the way I did it for linux machine.
I have tried many things but have not been able to get it working.
Please help me on this at the earlieast.
Lalita
