[Nagiosplug-help] need check_printer plugin help

Hi list

New to the list. I am been running nagios v2 for about a year now. I am trying to expand my checking to printers. I am a beginner with snmp and am looking for some advise. When I run .\check_printer -H hostname -C communityname, I get UNKNOWN - "". Do I need to go thru another setup first?
