Thanks,
I managed to figure it out. I just needed to rerun configure; make etc
and it compiled this time.

Ok, don't know about CentOS packages. We installed from source, which
works fine.
Just checked a debian server where we compiled it as well: (again, don't
know how they translate to rpms)
- libsnmp-base
- libsnmp-dev
- libsnmp-perl
- libsnmp15
- snmp
I remember we had to install extra packages (we were already running
other snmp checks as well), but it was some time ago.
Good luck,
Elmar

Yes it is installed. I have other snmp checks running. OS CentOS 4.5
net-snmp-5.1.2-11.EL4.10. I also have the devel rpm installed as well.

Hi Rob,
Have you installed net_snmp? Without it check_snmp can't compile.

The check_snmp plugin is not in the package. Anyone know why?
