[Nagiosplug-help] Plugin to check websites locked with SSL Client Certificates

Does anyone know of a Nagios plugin that will check https web sites
that are secured with client certificates as an authentication
mechanism?  Right now we're just using check_tcp to see if the port is
open, but if apache has flaked out and stopped serving, but hasn't
crashed, then that creates a false positive.  I checked
nagios-exchange, and didn't find anything, nor does it look like the
standard check_http plugin in nagios-plugins has the ability to
specify a client cert to use in the connection.
