[Nagiosplug-help] TCP_check and Ping_check

I have two issues.

First of all, I am trying to have pings issue from a particular interface.
In my cgi.cfg I have defined the ping command as such: 

/bin/ping -I x.x.x.x -n -U -c 

However, this does not do the trick. I need to do this because I am pinging
certain things over VPN tunnels.

My second problem is the following error when I try to run TCP checks:

check_tcp: Port must be a positive integer 

I have tricked using JUST check_tcp as well as tcp_check -p 23 and neither
work. 

Any ideas?
