I ran it as the nagios user and it returns correctly. It is running
locally.

Basic question - did you execute the command line AS the nagios user?
Is the command line running locally and is the check running locally or
from a different host.

Hi Justin,
I compiled on the same machine. When I ran it from the command line
and passed it the parameters it connected fine. I did notice that
unlike most plugins it returned regular info instead of a warning, ok,
critical. Not sure what the values are for setting warning or
critical. the script is located in the libexec folder with the others.
Not sure what I did wrong.

It could be if the check is set to return that if it can't find libs or
includes. Did you compile the script on that server or move it from
another? Try running it with the full path while you are in another
directory. I had a similar issue with a perl script and that was the
test, the solution was to add the path to the include line. Don't know
how you could do that with your script but you could add the path to the
user that is running it.

I am having an issue with the check_mysql. Hoping someone has run into
this before. when i run this plugin from the command line i get this
./check_mysql -H mysql.wthosting.com -uUSER -pPASS
Uptime: 7630478 Threads: 4 Questions: 341247089 Slow queries: 1278
Opens: 1050510 Flush tables: 1 Open tables: 3290 Queries per second

however, when its setup as a command in nagios. It returns warning
because the status information says (null)
Has anyone seen this? Know how to fix it?
