[Nagiosplug-help] connection timed out

i get this error "CHECK_NRPE: Socket timeout after 10 seconds" on one of
the machines i'm monitoring using NRPE plugins. i'm using nagios version
3.0.3. when i ping the machine is recheable and everything ran as
expected. any help will be appreciated.
