Your snmpget output don't look right, is looks like is you had the -Oq
option on the command line.
Do you have any special option in your snmp.conf (not snmpd.conf...)? If
you have "quickPrinting" set then that explains it, otherwise post the
content of this file (less any sensitive information if present).
