[Nagiosplug-help] check_dig question

Hey Everyone,
I'm using check_dig to verify that certain DNS queries return an expected
IP:
Example command is:
./check_dig -H ns1.domain.com -l www.domain.com -T A -a 123.123.123.123
If it returns another IP address it shows up as a Warning state, not
Critical, and doesn't send an alert.
It seems the only options to check_dig for warning/critical states are the
timeout values for the query.
Should I configure Nagios to send an alert if this service check goes into a
Warning state?
Any other ideas to have the check_dig or other plugin alert of the expected
DNS query returns something else?
Thanks!
-Philip
