[Nagiosplug-help] [SPAM]?? problem with mrtgtraf and Return code of 127

I have not used mrtg to analyze switch performance, but I have looked at it carefully and likely will use it soon.
As I understand it, below is the data flow involving the switch, mrtg, and Nagios:
switch <-----> mrtg -----> mrtg log file <----- check_mrtg <----> nagios
ie: mrtg runs independent of Nagios and queries the switch status and logs the result.  Then Nagios, through the plugin, reads the log and reports the results.
There error you get is: "Unable to open MRTG log file"
The check_mrtg plugin runs as the OS user Nagios.  Therefore, I suspect that if you look at the permissions on the mrtg log file, the Nagios user or group does not have read, nor does public.
Just my thoughts.  Hope it helps.
