Nevermind, I thought that the you had problems with host check. As Marc
explained this is a feature, and without it a host down would cause a
lot of extra noise.
If you really want it, you could:
1. Make the host do the extensive ping check
2. Make the host do a dummy check (always OK), and possibly make all
other services dependent on the ping service.
3. Move all ping check to a dummy host that is always up.
But I still don't get why you want two different alerts for a down host...
