I prefer to use the check_bgpstate.pl PERL plugin located http://www.koders.com/perl/fidD4CA0784042FB0899F08906D02E66506AEFF1F51.aspx?s=%22jeffry%22
This doesn't require you to specify the neighbors on your check, but instead reports on all sessions that your router is configured for. This way if you update your router config you don't have to update Nagios.
Usage:
/usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_bgpstate $HOSTADDRESS$ -c $USER1$

Subject: [Nagiosplug-help] Can not set up check_bgp ,
Hello again .... thankyou for your suport.
I can not set correctly the check_bgp plugin , I need to complete:
[-h] : Print this message
[-r] <router> : IP Address or Hostname of the router
[-c] <community>: SNMP Community String (default = "public")
[-n] <neighbors>: % delimited list of neighbor ip addresses
and descriptions. Example: 10.10.10.1%ROUTER_A
what does -r means ? is it the magnament port ? is it the peering port ?
of my router.
How can I complete -n ? is it enough to put my neighbor address ?
Bye!!
