Hello Sandra,

1. Have you the same versions of the check_nrpe plugin and the NRPE daemon ? yes is the same
2. Is SSL enable on your Host ? how i verify this?
3. Do you have correct file permissions (nagios:nagios) on nrpe.cfg file ? yes Have you fill "127.0.0.1" and "private IP" of your host for "allowed_hosts" on nrpe.cfg ? yes

Then restart deamon and try again. How I restart deamon?

Hello

I'm installing NRPE -v2.12  Nagios plugin, the installation is ok until the final check
/usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_nrpe -H localhost
CHECK_NRPE: Error - Could not complete SSL handshake.

I would appreciate that you could help me

My OS is Sun 8 sparc (solaris)
