Hello
It looks like the latest greatest nagios plugin 1.4.15 changed a few
things in check_snmp. I use sysUpTimeInstance output to see if my
hardware devices have rebooted.
My example check_snmp command:
./check_snmp -H xxxxxx -C public -P2c -o sysUpTimeInstance -t 20 -e 3 -c
90000000: -u "1/100 sec"
Output:
SNMP OK - Timeticks: (2012945) 5:35:29.45 1/100 sec |
Problem:
Ever check receives a OK message, no Critical or warn (if definied)
message, never. It looks like -c and -w thresholds are ignored or could
not checked against the output.
The same check worked fine with nagios plugin 1.4.14:
./check_snmp -H xxxxxx -C public -P2c -o sysUpTimeInstance -t 20 -e 3 -c
90000000: -u "1/100 sec"
Output:
SNMP CRITICAL - *2101283* 1/100 sec |
DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance=2101283
Any idea why my check is no longer working with 1.4.15?
My System:
FreeBSD 8.1-RELEASE-p1 (amd64)
nagios 3.2.2
nagios-plugins 1.4.5
