Hello,
I'm configuring Nagios using the native packages of the openSuSE 11.3
distro and anytime I run a plugin to check a service with a self sighned
cert it fails with errors such as:
./check_ldap -H localhost -b o=mycomp -p 636 -T -v
ldap_bind: Can't contact LDAP server (-1)
additional info: error:14090086:SSL
routines:SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE:certificate verify failed (self signed
certificate)
Could not bind to the LDAP server
./check_http -H localhost -C 10 -v
CRITICAL - Cannot make SSL connection

routines:SSL3_GET_SERVER_HELLO:serverhello tlsext:s3_clnt.c:946:
CRITICAL - Cannot retrieve server certificate.
The versions of the packages installed are as follows
openSUSE 11.3 (x86_64)
OpenSSL 1.0.0 29 Mar 2010
nagios 3.2.1
nagios-plugins 1.4.14
I've downloaded and built nagios-plugins-1.4.15 and got the same error. If
I build nagios-plugins-1.4.15 on boxes with openSSL 0.9.x everything works
fine. Do others have a working openSSL 1.0.x with Nagios?
Thanks in Advance,
-Uriah
