Absolutely. Just use check_dns. You can have it ask for the IP of a host that doesn't exist on the internet, but only within the LAN if you want, or I believe the deafult is to check for the IP of www.yahoo.com.
Dear NagiosPlugin Team,
I am searching for a plugin to check the DNS service at a Win2k3 Server.
I only found a check_nt command to watch at the service himself, but I
want to check the function if it is working or not.
So, please can you kindly help me if there exist a plugin?
Thanks in advance,
