Thanks AL for your valuble help, The error got resolved but while processing whole steps of configuration it leads to another error. I follow the steps in nrpe document of nagios. I successfully installed the following things: 1) nagios plugin 2) install xinetd 3) install nrpe daemon After that i started xinetd service During testing i run a command /usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_nrpe -H localhost its give me following error CHECK_NRPE: Error - Could not complete SSL handshake. I searched through google but not able to get satisfactory response. Please help me to come out of this.
