<p class=MsoNormal>Hello everyone<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Our network is setup with six child Nagios servers and 1 NOC
(Nagios operation centre). The child Nagios servers send down passive results,
to the NOC where our 24/7 support team monitor. However there are times
when the results do not come down. Obviously we did have freshness switch on,
but the problem is the network is only set up to communicate one way. If freshness
kicks in we get a array of service checks are stales, and we have to wait for a
new service check to be passed back to the NOC before this clears it. Therefore
we have had to switch of active check for all the passive checks, hence it only
receives updates for our child Nagios servers. However this does not fix the
issue of if passive checks get delayed how can we be alerted to this. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Has anyone got any ideas for a resolution or a work around. <o:p></o:p></p>
