We are using one 2.4 Ghz machine with 256 MB of RAM and are monitoring
about 120 servers with 650 serives total with that machine.
The checks are in time.

You could check the following:
- is your CPU fast enough ?
- Do your checks take too much time ?
- Do you check too frequently ?
- Any hints from "Performance Info" in Nagios ?
